Down a private driveway, sitting on a hill, overlooking vineyard views and mountain vistas is a re-modeled 1920's guesthouse. Welcome to paradise in wine country!

The two-bedroom farmhouse has everything you need to make your wine country vacation enjoyable. Luxury sheets and towels, a gas fireplace, cozy rooms professionally designed in a sunny, comfortable style. The kitchen is fully-equipped to cook, or sit and look out on the 5 star view of vines and mountains. Tranquil mornings, warm afternoons and cool evenings make this a perfect climate for living inside or out.

A 60' lap pool (solar heated May through November) and therapeutic hot tub await just steps from your door, along with an outdoor shower. Adjacent to the guest house is a path leading to a seasonal organic garden, where raspberries can be plucked for your morning breakfast. It is all here, and so much more. Take a leisurely drive a short distance to some of the greatest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay tasting rooms. We are minutes to Healdsburg or Sebastopol, where you can find ambitious chefs creating sumptuous meals using local ingredients.

Exercise and activities abound. The Joe Rodota Trail, just behind our house, offers 8.47 miles of paved trail. More hiking trails are just 15 minutes away beneath beautiful redwood groves. There are two 9-hole and two 18-hole golf courses a short distance away. The Pacific coastline is a beautiful drive over the hill from Graton through Occidental, both great towns worth exploring. You will never run out of things to do. Wineries, art galleries, shopping and enjoying life is what Sonoma is all about!

Here at Knowlton Farms you are away from town, but close enough to everything. If you are looking for a special treat, you can revive yourself with a day trip to the famous mud baths in Calistoga. If you desire something closer there are several day spas in the area that will pamper you to your heart's content!

 

We welcome you to explore our property during your stay. We’ve built a screened-in sleeping porch among the apple trees that is a perfect spot to read a book. Alongside the porch is your own patio with barbecue and outdoor eating area. There is a hammock between two old apple trees for a lazy nap. Gardens burst with flowers in season and there are many paths and places to rest that make the property like a park.

There are walks through the vineyards right behind the house. For years Knowlton Farms has provided our sustainably grown grapes to world class vineyards including VML Wines in Healdsburg. Our limited edition grapes produced an excellent 2014 Chardonnay, recently rated a 94 by Robert Parker. The 2014 Chardonnay Knowlton Farms can be purchased directly at the breathtaking VML winery.

 

Our guest house is the perfect size for one or two couples.  It can also accommodate a family of two adults and three children.
